Overview

Work Package 2.3 (WP2.3) focuses on creating a comprehensive Training Package designed to improve the digital competences of educators. This package is based on the Training Needs Assessment conducted under Work Package 2 (WP2.1 and WP2.2), which identified specific gaps in digital skills and leadership among educators in partner countries such as Bulgaria, Spain, North Macedonia, and Portugal.

The Training Package consists of six detailed modules, covering a range of competencies such as communication, digital resource management, leadership in digital education, and the integration of digital tools in teaching. Each module aims to equip educators with practical skills and knowledge that can be immediately applied in their classrooms, fostering a more inclusive and digitally competent educational environment.

 

Modules Overview:

  1. Module 1: Teachers’ Digital Competence
    • Focuses on enhancing communication skills, managing digital resources, and ensuring data security.
    • Addresses the need for improved communication with students, families, and educational administrations using authorized digital tools.
  2. Module 2: Impact of Digital Skills
    • Discusses globalization and digitalization in education, emphasizing the importance of digital readiness.
    • Equips educators with strategies to develop and implement digital training plans for students.
  3. Module 3: Work Experience Integration
    • Explores how real-world work experiences can be incorporated into teaching strategies.
    • Aims to improve the relevance of lessons and encourage reflective learning among educators.
  4. Module 4: Building Leadership Capacity Among Teachers
    • Empowers educators to lead digital transformation efforts within schools.
    • Focuses on promoting inclusive, technology-driven environments that cater to diverse student needs.
  5. Module 5: Integration of Digital Resources
    • Encourages the use of digital tools, such as virtual classrooms and collaborative platforms.
    • Emphasizes reducing the digital divide and ensuring that all students benefit from digital learning resources.
  6. Module 6: Continuous Support for Teacher Skills
    • Provides ongoing professional development opportunities for educators.
    • Focuses on peer learning and collaboration to maintain and enhance digital competences over time.

 

Methodology

The Developed Training Package is designed using a variety of teaching methods including interactive workshops, group discussions, case studies, and self-assessment tools. Materials such as presentations, video tutorials, infographics, and practical exercises ensure that educators gain a hands-on experience with digital tools. The programme’s modular approach enables a step-by-step development of digital competences, starting with foundational skills and progressing to advanced digital resource management and leadership capabilities.

 

Expected Outcomes

Purpose

This Training Package systematically addresses the specific needs identified through the Training Needs Assessment (WP2.1 and WP2.2). By equipping educators with essential digital competences, the programme supports the integration of digital technologies in classrooms, enhances student engagement, and promotes innovative teaching methodologies. Through the inclusion of leadership development and continuous support mechanisms, the programme ensures long-term sustainability and professional growth for educators.
