Eighteen professionals from the educational system in Spain, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria continued their activities of the Erasmus+ project “Integration Exchange Hub+” (Acronym: SIE HUB+) for the prevention of early school leaving in Madrid, Spain on the 3rd of September 2021. The first mobility in Spain is a short-term joint staff training event “Initiating positive change” and took place in C.E.I.P. San Carlos school until the 9th of September 2021.
The mobility aims to initiate cooperation that brings the potential to tackle early school leaving by the creation of a cross-sectoral network for sharing and transferring good practices. Teachers, school directors, and public officers, and civil society practitioners involved in the education system have been working together to prevent the early school leaving (ESL) of pupils from vulnerable groups.
The partnership brings together players of a different type, civil society organization with new networking solutions, a national public body responsible for the educational integration of children from minorities, and a training center with more than five decades of experience in training to the targeted groups of vulnerable students and migrants from the diverse socioeconomic background.
In order to promote collection and exchange of knowledge and to improve practices involving different perspectives and knowledge, the project addresses the following priorities:
– Developing new interactions that provide opportunities for access to disadvantaged,
– Gather and redevelop creative and best practices aimed to remove obstacles within the school education system
– Support the large network of schools they work with to develop conducive and supportive learning environments.
“School Integration Exchange Hub+ (Acronym: SIE HUB+)“ project is under the Erasmus + Programme, Key Action 2 – Strategic Partnerships in Schools, contract number – 2020-1-MK01-KA201-077901.
